A burqa is a traditional outer garment worn by some Muslim women to cover their entire body, including the face, in accordance with certain interpretations of modesty in Islamic culture. The burqa typically consists of a loose-fitting cloak that covers the whole body from head to toe, along with a mesh screen or fabric panel over the face that allows the wearer to see without being seen. It is usually worn over everyday clothing when in public or in the presence of non-mahram men (men who are not close relatives).
